Question:
We have a 25 gallon saurkraut crock with a hair line crack, that slowly leaks. What can we get to repair it and how? We will need it water tight.
Answer: I usually apply liquid Super Glue to the crack and apply a tourniquet to the crock for 24 hours. After the glue as dried (do not wipe Super Glue when wet or you will get a white film on your piece that is very hard to remove) I use a razor blade to remove any excess. Just make sure you read the label on the glue to make sure it does not affect any food you may process in your crock. Al Kohlman
