Question:
I inhereted a Old Jug, past down from many generations (Quebec/Vermont Border). It has a hand writting underneath the jug but written before the jar was fired up. It says "Red Wing Minnesota Stoneware Co." It has a small chip and some natural wear. It has no number on it and no design. (11"H x 7"D) Can you date and value my piece. Thank you in advance. Lison

Answer: Cindy, from your description and the photo of the bottom, I would guess you have a Minnesota Stoneware Company white standard shoulder jug. These jugs were produced in the early 1900′s. Value is around $45. Al Kohlman
