I recently watched this item on eBay which was listed as a Red Wing beater jar. The reserve price was never met, so it did not sell. I have never seen a beater jar in other than a stoneware color. Did they make them, or is this something newer? Thanks.

Answer: The blue Red Wing beater jar is original and was made in the 1930′s There were 5 different beater jars which were made from the same mold, with each decorated by sponging, color and bands. Value on this beater jars is around $150. Al Kohlman
