Question:
I aquired these two pieces at an auction on Saturday. I paid $55 total for the both of them. The 4 gallon crock has no markings saying it is a Red Wing, but the 2 gallon does as you can see. The 4 gallon as some cracks but the 2 gallon is immaculate. Can you give me an idea on age and value? I really just needed the 4 gallon to put magazines in! The 2 gallon is empty so far. Thank you!

Answer: Both of your crocks are Red Wing. The 4 gallon was manufactured between 1896 & 1909. With the crack and no oval value is around $30. Your 2 gallon Red Wing was manufactured between 1936 & 1947. In mint condition around $60. You did all right. Al Kohlman
