Question:
I have a stoneware lid, 8" across, marked 1, small chip on rim. What would it have been used for and an estimated value? Thank you, Bob

Answer: Bob, the blue band on your 1 gallon Red Wing crock lid should not be there. Someone must have painted the blue on the band. You can use any type of paint stripper to remove it and it will not hurt your lid. Your lid would used as a cover the the Red Wing 1 gallon crocks. Estimated value in mint condition and without the blue paint is $100. Al Kohlman
