Question:
I have a Red Wing Saffron Ware marked mixing bowl. The piece measures approx. 7 1/2" across the top and 3 3/4" in height. The piece has one chip on the outer rim, as well as a hairline crack in the side of bowl. Glaze has crazing, apparently from age. I am interested in any information about this piece, as well as possible $ value. Thank you.

Answer: Red Wing Saffron ware was produced in the late 1920′s and into the 1930′s. The chip and crack in your bowl greatly reduces it’s value. $15 to $20. Al Kohlman
