I was wondering what you could tell me about this mini jug I just purchased? What i am really curious about is the ribbon attached to the jug the ribbon is missing part. The ribbon says member winning tribune register and tribune brown jug contest january 1940 any info on this jug would be helpful and a value. thank you paul

Answer: From what I can see of your mini jug, I don’t believe it is Red Wing. If I had a closer photo of the jug, it would help. Anytime I see paper labels, banners/ribbons or other paper items attached to stoneware, I become very cautious. These type of items can be attached by someone at any time in hopes of convincing someone that a piece is something other than what it really is. As for your ribbon, I have never seen or heard of this one. Sorry I could not be any help with your piece. Al Kohlman
