Question:
Hello, I found a large containter in my mothers basement in Ohio that has been around for at least 45yrs. I was wondering if it could possible be a Red Wing crock. On one side there is the number "6" in blue, on the other side is a picture of and anchor also in blue ink. The measurements are H 13 1/2" x W 13 1/4" and 3/4" thick. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, Cecelia
Answer: Cecelia, your mothers crock is not Red Wing. Though I know little to nothing in regards to the anchor decoration, I am quite sure it was produced in Ohio. Ohio is well know for it’s mid-western pottery. Sorry I could not be of further assistance. Al Kohlman
