Question:
I’ve got some big crocks two with lids. A 10 gallon, a 20 gallon. How do I figure out how old? Yes they are stamped Red Wing. How do I figure out what they are worth. My father’s father used them for saurkraut, so they are at least from 1920-1930.
Answer: If your 10 or 20 gallon Red Wing Crocks have handles, they were manufactured from 1915 till 1947. If no handles, they were then manufactured between 1900 and 1915. The earlier crocks will demand a higher value than the later ones. In perfect condition, the 10 gallon with lid has a value between $175 and $250. The 20 gallon with lid is valued between $250 and $300. Al Kohlman
