Hello: Thanks for taking my question. I bought this jug at an auction the reason was because of the star on the bottom not sure what it means? Or the value of this item was wondering if you could tell me a little history. Its a 1 gallon bottom signed jug. There is one small chip ¼ inch in diameter on the top of the rim, some manufacturing defects around the sides, some small chips on the side and along the bottom base. Thanks again

Answer: Without seeing the top, back and a side of the jug, there is just not enough here from me to help identify your jug or give you an honest value. The star was used by other companies who manufactured stoneware. Therefore without a signature and additional photos of your jug I am at a loss.
