Question:
We have two Two Step pieces that obviously don’t go together. The ‘bean pot’ needs a smaller ‘burner.’ What is the value of the bean pot & the water cooler base? Jerry

Answer: Jerry:

You are correct in identifying the warmer stand as too large for the Bean Pot. There were two sizes of Warmer Stands for the Village Green Line which included Two Step. The Small Warmer was designed to accompany the Tea Pot, the Small (1qt.) Covered Casserole, and the 8 cup Beverage Server and Cover as well as the 2 Qt. Bean Pot. The Large Warmer was designed to accompany the Medium (2 Qt.) and Large (4 Qt.) Covered Casserole. Village Green was introduced in 1951 and continued in production until the Pottery closed in 1967. However, Two Step was produced only from 1960 to 1962. There were thus many items in Village Green that were not included in Two Step. The Water Cooler and the 4 Quart Bean Pot were not production items for Two Step. So, you have a 2 Quart Bean Pot and a Warming Stand for the two largest casseroles. The Bean Pot is valued at $25-30 and the Warming Stand about the same. Two Step is one of the patterns where supply seems to exceed demand.
