Question:
I have a pitcher handed down to me from my grandmother. Any info. you have on it would be apprieciated. It is in great condition and is marked Red Wing USA on the bottom. thank you.
Answer: This is a water pitcher in the Bob White pattern. Bob White was introduced in 1954 and was an immediate success. It remained Red Wing’s best selling pattern until the business closed in 1967. The pitcher in the photo appears to be the standard 60oz pitcher. Many thousands of these were made and this pitcher is very common today. Antique shops price these in the $50 to $75 but they can be bought on eBay for under $25. A much larger 112oz pitcher was also made. This size is not common and is worth $100 to $150.
