Question:
I worked at the RW Pottery Salesroom in 1966,67 and 68. I have a couple dozen pieces that I’m willing to part with. Today’s question is 1. I have two "starter sets" of dishes in their original RW boxes. The patterns are Hearthstone and Pepe. 2. I have 2-3 RW teepee ashtrays- RW #827 Thanks- sg Any interest in these and best sold at RWCS auction or e-bay? Steve

Answer on Teepee Ashtrays 827: Hi, the teepee ashtray is from around 1963, the glaze is sliver/green. Value around 45.00 or so. Rose and Steve

Answer on Dinnerware patterns: The dishes have value, but original Red Wing boxes are of interest to collectors. Your boxes appear to have paint or some other white substance on them. Obviously the better the condition, the higher the value. I’d estimate each starter set with the original box to be worth $50-100, maybe more if the boxes clean up nicely. If I was selling these I’d probably use eBay rather than the RWCS auction as dinnerware sets don’t attract as much attention there as does stoneware.
