Question:
I recently purchased my first Red Wing piece. It is a solid black planter, the bottom marked as follows: Red Wing U.S.A. M-1610-7 1/2" The planter stands 6 1/4 inches tall, 7 1/4 inches wide and tapers down to 3 1/2 wide at the bottom. It is in good conidition, no chips but with a few light scratches. What is the age and possible value of this piece? Thanks for your help!
Answer: Hello
this shape is a design my Charles Murphy. It came in a few different sizes, and another version of it has brass handles on each side. It dates to around 1958, and has a value of 20.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
