Question:
Hello!!! I just recently picked up this fine piece of redwing pottery at a local estate sale. It caught my eye because it had an oval stamp on the bottom instead of the "normal pottery round mark" I don’t normally get into the pottery but I was wondering if this pattern had a name. it stands just over 8 1/4 inches tall and doesn’t have any cracks. Thanks a bunch!!!
Answer: Hi,
This is a brushed Ware vase, Dogwood, I think. there is no name for this particular pattern. It came in 3 sizes, this is the smallest. Dates from the thirties, and the glaze is light green. Value is around 65.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
