Question:
I have a three piece set of pink speckled Red Wing pottery or ceramic. It is 2 candle stick holders and a bigger bowl, possibly for fruit or a floral arrangements. It is from the 50s or 60s. I wish I could send a picture, but can’t, sorry. All three pieces are oval shaped and come up and swoop out on one end. I am trying to dtermine the value as it was damaged in the mail. Any help you could provide is appreciated – THANK YOU! Cheryl Gill
Answer: Cheryl, your candleholders are probably B1409′s, they have a lot of "swoop" to them, the bowl I’m not sure, but there were plenty of morphic, swoopy shapes in the 50′s. The glaze is Zephyr Pink. Replacement value would be around $50.00 for the set. thanks, steve n rose
