i bought this for $40 dollars at a garage sale thinking it was worth more than that… Would love your opinion! It is a 2 gallon crock with lid. Markings: 3 A red wing Red Wing Potteries Inc. I am wondering if it is authentic or a remake and if the lid is the original lid. I don’t want to sale but would live to know the value. Thank you! There are no markings on the bottom but it is very rough.

Answer: You have a 3 gallon Red Wing crock and not a 2 gallon. It was produced between 1936 & 1947. The lid is not Red Wing, so there is no value there. If the 3 gallon is perfect, the value is between $60 & $70. Al Kohlman
