Question:
I have a 20 gallon Red Wing crock that was left in our house when we bought it. The patent date on it is December 24th, 1815. There is a crack about 6 in long that was patched up with what looks like glue. The handles are also original. We are not looking to sell but wondered about the possible value. Thank You Erin
Answer: Erin, your Red Wing 20 gallon crock with the crack you described would have a value around $80. If you want to remove the glue, you can use Zip Strip. Once the old glue has been removed, you should use a liquid super glue to re-secure the crack. Also apply a tourniquet around the crock by the crack and leave it on for 24 hours after applying the glue. Al Kohlman
