Question:
I have a 3 gallon salt glazed lid. I’m not sure if you can see it in the photo but it has a 3 on it and the daisy. As you can see it has a couple of issues but they are seem to be factory flaws. There are no chips or cracks on the underside but it has a factory flaw in it there as well. Any idea of value? – Thanks Jean

Answr: Jean, your 3 gallon Red Wing crock lid has quite a bit of salt glaze to it’s top. The bar handle lids were produced for the zinc glaze crocks and with all of this dark salt color, they do not look very appealing sitting on a creamy white crock. For this reason, many Red Wing collectors will shy away from these type of lids. Value is around $30. Al Kohlman
