at a flea market yesterday I saw a 3gal crock w a one and a half inch wing. I thought that was unusual, isnt the smallest wing 2 inches?? can i get info about the 1 1/2 " wing please. I’m kind of kicking my self for not buying the piece. Gail

Answer: Gail, every so often you will see that small wing (1 1/2" inch wing) on a small Red Wing crock (up to 5 gallons). They are quite hard to find (go ahead and start kicking). The small red wing could have been used for pantry jars and someone picked up the stamp and used it on that 3 gallon crock (are you still kicking yet?). Collectors love these oddities and these crocks always demand a higher value. If the stamp was clear and crock mint, the value would be between $100 & $150. Hope this helps.
