Question:
I have a 10 gallon redwing union stoneware crock in perfect condition. How much is it worth. No chips or cracks. And why are the #10 smaller on some 10gal crocks compared to others. Thanks Robin
Answer: Robin, your 10 gallon Red Wing crock has a value between $100 & $150. The sizes of the 10 & wings changed through the years. Smaller numbers and wings would use less cobalt, and other chemicals. The less chemicals you use the faster to apply the decorations, less chemicals used also saves money.. So when you see smaller decorations, it tells you it is a later produced piece. Al Kohlman
