Question:
I have this 10 gallon birch leaf red wing crock. Its in perfect condition! A beauty. No hairlines, or chips anywhere. Great markings. The oval says union stoneware company, Red Wing, MN. Is this one of the first ovals? What is the age? What do you think the value is? Thank you for your time and have a great day. Brian
Answer: Brian, the union oval was one of the first ovals. It was used from around 1900 to 1912 and was stamped on many of the birch leaf crocks. Value on your 10 gallon birch leaf crock is between $125 & $150 in today’s market. Al Kohlman
