Question:
My mother has a jug that we think is Red Wing Stoneware. After reading some on website, I figured out that the 12 on the outside is how many gallons. It has about a four inch red wing and the circle stamp that says Red Wing Stoneware Co. It has wooden handles on the side and a patented date of December 21, 1915. She was wondering it this piece is worth anything? Stacey
Answer: Stacey, if your mother’s Red Wing Stoneware 12 gallon crock (it is a crock & not a jug) is in perfect condition (no chips, cracks, hairlines or even flakes) the value can be between $150 & $200. Any damage and of course the value will be lowered. Al Kohlman
