hi, I have a piece that looks very much like one I had viewed in a book on redwing, however the only mark on the bottom is a capitol B, and under the coffer is the word snuff, but it looks like the straight cannin jar, it is 5 1/2 tall and 4 wide. the color is brown, any ideas if this redwing, as it looks just like the one in the book. thanks for any information!!! Answer: Lana, these stoneware snuff jars were manufactured by all the stoneware companies. With the capital B on the bottom, I can tell you that it most likely is not Red Wing. The Red Wing Stoneware Company did not mark their stoneware this way. Al Kohlman
