Hi, I was wondering if you can tell me the time frame made (Northstar,Minnesota or Red Wing) on my 8 gallon salt glaze primitive butterfly & value..It has a flake chip on one handle, wear mark inside bottom from use 2" circle, some chaffing around bottom but not bad, glaze is nice & decoration is dark & perfect..Thanks,Ken..

Answer: Ken, this is quite the piece and the only 8 gallon North Star butterfly churn I have ever seen. I did see the other photos of this piece. Est value would be between $12,000 & $15,000. Could even go higher. Very sharp piece!!!!!!!! Al Kohlman
