Question:
Dear Expert, My wife purchased this Syrup jug about 1991 at an antique auction in Coursegold Ca.The only information we have on the jug are the original stickers that came with the jug at auction. The stickers say " Cone Top Syrup Jug Red Wing Stoneware 1883-1906. There are no identifying marks on the jug.The jug is not mint it has some chips on the base and at the pour spout. If you have any information on this jug it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you LeForge Family

Answer: LeForge Family, your Cone Top syrup jug looks like it could be Red wing, but would need to see more of the jug to tell for sure. Either way, cone top on these syrup jugs are from the earlier production period (between 1895 & 1906 or so. The value of your jug will be low do to not being marked, no decorations and the chips around the base. Value would be in the $15 to $25 range. Al Kohlman
