I just found a 8" RW spongeband greyline bowl with advertisting that reads "Merry Christmas from Weigold – Nordby Stores – Mix With Us". Where were these stores located? Does the xmas greeting add extra value? Thank you.

Answer: The sponge-band bowls with advertising are quite prized by collectors if they are in mint condition. The Christmas Greeting on these advertising bowls do add to their value, however, collectors are looking for a town to go with that advertising. Unless you know this company and it means something to you, then the value will be higher. In most cases, this doesn’t happen and therefore the value will go down. If it had a town listed the value would be between $250 & $300. Without the town between $200 & $250. I do not know where the Nordby Stores were located. Hope this helps you out. Al Kohlman
