Question:
I have a 6 gallon butter churn. There is no lid, it has two "elephant ear" leaves under the number 6. Below the leaves there is an oval inside of which are the words "Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing Minn. There is a tiny chip on one of the handles and another tiny chip on the inside lip on the churn. There are no other flaws.

Answer: Your 6 gallon Elephant Ear churn was manufactured by the Minnesota Stoneware Company between 1895 & 1906. With the minor chips and not fully printed leaf on the right side of the churn, the value would be in the area of $300 to $400 in today ecomony. Al Kohlman
