Question:
I was just given a bean pot from my grandmother and she claimed to it belonging to her mother. I fear it sounds common by reading your prior answers :) but she would like to know year made. It is a pot that is half white (bottom side) and brown with blue crown that has a 2 in the center. I see no usa markings or anything on the bottom. It does have small handle.

Answer: Your grandmother’s bean pot was manufactured in Ohio and is not a Red Wing stoneware bean pot. It was most likely manufactured from the mid teens and well into the 1930′s as this was a common time frame for bean pots of this style. Al Kohlman
