Question:
Hello, This crock features two quail or pheasants in grass. It is clearly midwestern and mint. But is it Red Wing? If so, what would it be worth? Would it be something to auction in your auction at the convention? Your help is appreciated! Duane Watson

Answer: Duane, I do not think your crock is Red Wing. I do think it could be Ohio as I had a few pieces with their birds and they strongly resemble your birds. I would place your crock on eBay rather than limit your buyers to just the Red Wing collectors. I would think an Ohio collector would pay a higher price for your piece and by placing it in the Red Wing auction, you would be missing those collectors. It is a gorgeous piece and I think a value in the area of at least $3,500 or higher would not be out of line. Al Kohlman
