Question:
I recently purchased a crock at an auction. I believe it is a beater jar or butter drum. It is probably one gallon. It is plain, no markings. On the bottom of the jar is Minnesota Stoneware Co Red Wing. What can you tell me about is history and possible value?

Answer: Your one gallon crock was manufactured by the Minnesota Stoneware Company some time between 1896 & 1909. Value is in the area of $30. Al Kohlman
