Question:
I have a 25 gal. crock it is off white with a glossy glaze, on the crock it has a big 25 at top below that is a brich leaf pattern and below that the red wing oval with red wing, union stoneware, and the city and state at bottom. The lettering is blue and is a stencil or a stamp, not hand painted. would like to know approximatly the age and value of this piece Thank You..

 

Answer: Your 25 gallon Red Wing crock with birch leaves was manufactured sometime between 1895 and 1906. In mint condition with strong markings it would have a value between $300 & $350. Any damage will greatly reduce it’s value. Al Kohlman
