Question:
I have a butter churn with a blue #4 inside a heart. I saw a similar crock on ebay that was listed as Red Wing. Did Red Wing ever use a mark like that? Or do you know the maker of my crock? I would apreciate any input. Thank you! Barbara
Answer: Barbara, your churn is definitely not Red Wing. I do not know who the manufacturer was that produced this churn. Western Stoneware did fabricate stoneware which had the Albany tops and zinc bottoms, but as far as I know, they did not use a heart on there pieces. Sorry I was not of further help. Al Kohlman
