Question:
I have a 25 gallon Red Wing crock with the wood handles still attached. Is there anyway to determine the age and resale value? I would like to sell, but I want to be sure I get what it is worth. Can you suggest where I might sell as well – I’m not a fan of E-Bay. Any infomation would be helpful. Thank you very much. Jon Wagner, South Bend, IN

Answer: Jon, your 25 gallon Red Wing crock was manufactured sometime after 1915 and before 1947. In perfect condition with excellent markings the value would be in the range of $350. Being in IN will be your largest hurtle do to shipping. There is a site on the Net called "Wing Tips" which will allow you to advertise your crock for free. You can also sell it in our bi-monthly RWCS Newsletter in the classified section. Please contact the RWCS Business Office at 800-977-7927 for contact information on the Newsletter. Good luck on you sale. Al Kohlman
