Question:
My mother received a 50 gal Red Wing crock from her father about 25 years ago. The crock is in excellant condition to include the upper and lower original corks. The Red Wing and 50 on the front are perfect. My Grandfather received the crock from an old friend years before that in the area of Harrisburg, PA. Does Al have an idea of it’s value? I can send a photo if you would like in the very near future, thanks John.
Answer: John, a Red Wing 50 gallon crock in excellent condition with nice markings can fetch a price between $2500 to $2800. The condition of the crock, clear clean stamps and dark colors on the wing, oval and gallon-age is what the collectors are looking for. Al Kohlman
