Question:
I would like to know date, design, name of red color and value of this matching Red Wing coffee server and scalloped dish. Dish is marked ‘Red Wing USA 415′ Coffee server lid has tiny chip under edge (not visible when lid is on) and hairline crack as a result; ‘tab-like’ handle on lid was broken off mid-way and re-glued slightly off-center (ugh!). Condition is excellent otherwise. Would like to sell both. Looks like ‘Lotus’ coffee servers I’ve seen in other colors, shown without the dish. Thank you! Kathy

Answer: The photo shows a Copper Glow beverage server with cover from the Quartette pattern, one of many patterns in the Concord shape. Quartette was the only Concord pattern with no hand painted pieces, only solid colors. The four colors were Ming Green, Chartreuse, Mulberry and Copper Glow and all items in the pattern could be purchased in any of the four colors. Quartette was produced from 1951 to 1956.

Value for this beverage server would be $50-60 if it were in mint condition. The broken handle on the cover and the hairline crack will reduce the value by around 50%.

Sorry, but the 415 dish is not a dinnerware item and I know nothing about it. Perhaps our art pottery expert can help.
