Question:
I recently was given a set of Red Wing dishes in the driftwood pattern. Due to the lead in the glaze, we are interested in learning the value of the pieces. We have 8 11" dinner plates, 2 8" salad plates, 8 6.5" Side plates, 1 serving platter, 1 casserole w/ intact lid, 1 divided serving dish, 1 undivided serving dish, 8 coffee cups w/ saucers, 8 bowls, 2 serving bowls, 1 sugar dish w/ lid, and 1 set of salt & pepper shakers. The only flaws we have found are: a coffee cup had a broken handle that was glued back together, and a plate had a chip out of the edge. I took pictures of the set and of the flaws, but do not have access to them at the moment. Thank you for your input! Perry

Answer: Your description helped me to identify all pieces except the bowls, which were made in six sizes. Assuming all pieces are in excellent condition except for the two you mentioned, the value for this collection would be in the range of $200 to $250.
