Question:
I recently bought a Red Wing piece at an estate auction. It’s in perfect condition. It’s slightly oblong in shape. It measures 10.75" x 10" and the sides are slightly turned up on the long side. The back is stamped in the center. It says: RED WING (in an arch) HAND PAINTED OVENPROOF U.S.A. 429 I was unable to sign up as a member to the website because it said my name didn’t match the mailing name or something like that. Please also send your response to my e-mail address so I’m able to see it. Thank you so much! Melanie

Answer: The name of this pattern is Montmartre. It was made for only a couple of years, 1957-1958, and features a French sidewalk scene. The whimsical design is popular with collectors. Value for the plate is $15-25.
