Question:
hi, I recently aquired a Red Wing Fondue set in the Bob White pattern. I’m guessing this may be an uncommon piece.. it is a double burner on a black wire base with pottery handles, and 2 lidded pots that rest over the candles. Any idea of the value of this set in excellent condition with no chips etc? Is it even a fondue set? Thanks! Christine

Answer: You have two 2 quart Bob White casseroles with covers and a matching double warmer stand. Red Wing brochures show the double warmer stand as available with either a huge 20 inch platter or with the two casseroles. The black wrought iron stand was made early in Bob White production. Copper stands were introduced in 1957 and within a couple of years the black iron stands were phased out. The casseroles were also sold individually or with a single warmer stand; today Bob White 2 quart casseroles are very common. The double warmer stand is less common but not difficult to find. Your set in excellent condition is worth around $75.
