Question:
It was very helpful. As I was inventorying, I notice this vegetable bowl has the bob white upside down. Is that normal. Thank you again for your courtesy. bj martin

Answer:
While it certainly looks to be a bowl with the decoration upside down, this is actually a stand for a Bob White water cooler. The "bowl" is placed open end down so the decoration displays correctly and the cooler is set on flat "bottom" of the upside down bowl. The stand raises the cooler so a glass can be placed under the cooler’s spigot. Initially Bob White water cooler stands were warming stands (with cutout holes on the sides) borrowed from the Village Green line but decorated in Bob White colors. After several years of production this unique bowl-shaped stand was introduced for the Bob White and Tampico patterns.
