Question:
Hello, I noted on the bottom of this bowl, it says "Red Wing U.S.A". Is it a Red Wing product? Any idea as to it’s approximate, best guest, value? 2 photos coming

Answer:
Yes, this bowl was made by Red Wing Potteries. It should be approximately 12 inches in diameter. While the shape is borrowed from the Casual dinnerware line, this bowl does not belong to any particular dinnerware pattern. It was sold with a wooden salad fork and spoon as a salad set. It was listed on Red Wing’s Gift and Novelty brochure and was sold in the late 1950s and well into the 1960s. Apparently it sold very well as this bowl is among the more commonly found pieces of Red Wing. There always seems to be several of these bowls for sale at any given time on eBay. Value is $10 to $15 in excellent condition.
