Answer: This is a Village Brown 13" platter. Village Brown was available in the 1960s as an option to go with Village Green. The all-green pieces of Village Green could be replaced with all-brown pieces. The pieces that include both the green and brown colors remained unchanged. The Village Brown idea did not go over well and the brown pieces are quite difficult to find today. But collectors generally do not show much interest in them. A platter like yours in excellent condition may be worth $25 to $40. Significant wear from use will reduce the value somewhat.
