Question:
What are the markings of Red wing pottery/dinnerware. I have some with 3 different markings. One marked redwing usa etched in the bottom itself of a piece. These are the harvest pattern, Thank you Ronda

Answer:
Red Wing hollowware (pitchers, teapots, casseroles, etc) is often marked Red Wing USA in raised or embossed letters on the bottom of the piece. These letters are formed by the mold used to shape the piece; they are not etched in by hand. Flatware (plates, bowls) are usually marked with an ink stamp. Two different ink stamps were used to mark Random Harvest dinnerware; early pieces have a pinkish-red wing shaped stamp, later pieces have a black ink stamp that states RED WING OVENPROOF.
