Question:
Did Red Wing make a small coffee pot (maybe it’s a teapot) in the Tampico pattern? The piece is unmarked, approx. 7" tall and 4-1/4" diameter across the bottom. It is wider at the bottom, then narrows at the "neck", then flares out again at the top. The handle is black and the knob on the top of the lid is black. Can’t find it in any of my books. Almost looks like a Futura pattern. If it’s not Red Wing Tampico, it’s a dead ringer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Debby

Answer: Debby, Red Wing made a tall coffee server and a short teapot in the Tampico pattern, but your description does not fit them or any other item in the Tampico pattern. The neck doesn’t fit Tampico, nor do the black handles and knobs. There is an Asian (probably Japanse) copy of Tampico out there; these pieces reproduce the Tampico artwork but the shapes of the pieces are very different. Quite likely your pot is a part of this Asian copy.
