Question:
I acquired this while antique shopping. It’ a beauiful rose plate, square with rounded corners. The back has a stamp that says RED WING POTTERY with a vertical wing above the words in a faint grey color. There are no chips or cracks, but seems to have a small pock mark in the glaze.

Answer: The name this pattern is Lexington. Many people call it Lexington Rose, for obvious reasons. Lexington was introduced in 1941 and was produced until 1955. It was a good seller in its time and the supply remains plentiful today. The mark on the back of your plate was used in the 1940s. Lexington plates were made in three sizes: 10.5", 7.5" and 6.5". Your plate is one of the two smaller sizes, as the 10.5" dinner plate has two roses. Value for this plate is around $10, maybe a bit more for one in nice condition like yours.
