Question:
I have this vase that I acquired from my grandmother and don’t know how to go about finding out where it came from. It is glazed and seems to be made out of something other than the traditional clay, more the density of some kind of concrete. It is 3-sided and has a different colored painted bird on each side. There is some kind of marking on the bottom, but can’t make them out. Jo Lynn

I’m not sure what your vase is. It does look to be handmade. The american art pottery association has a website, perhaps they could help you. thanks, steve n rose
