Question:
I found a red wing pitcher what looks like a griffen on the handle and a face on the body of the pitcher the glaze color looks black or colbalt blue. Stamped in blue red wing art pottery #220 the condition looks excellent no chips etc…Any information would be helpful. Thank You!

Answer: Hi, it dates from around 1930 or so, part of the early artware line. A nice item, if you hold it in diresct sunlight, the dark blue will show up on the high points of the pitcher. Value is around 125.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
