Question:
I came across a lovely pottery vase at an estate sale and believe it to be a Red Wing fan (shell) vase. It is 7.5 inches in height and is engraved? on the underneath of the base with Red Wing 892. It is eggshell white with a pink interior. Could you tell me what year it was produced. I can email you a photo if necessary. Thank you Cheryl
Answer: Cheryl, the 892 is made by Red Wing. One of the more popular shapes ever made, and glazed in about every combination possible. Would guess circa 1940, from your description of the glaze. likely Ivory, lined with pink. thanks, steve n rose
